Devil - Time to Repent (2011)

A sweet little gem from Norway, Devil play old-fashioned doom/heavy metal in the vein of respectable old farts such as Saint Vitus, Pentagram or Witchfinder General and respectable new farts such as The Devil's Blood or Witchcraft. If you follow the genre at all, you already know what to expect. Time to Repent, the band's debut album, is filled to the brim with warm fuzzy guitar riffs, catchy melodies, lyrics about witches, curses and sorcerers and has that vintage 70s vibe that's all the rage right now. Should be right up your alley if you're into this sort of thing. I know I am.

I know this is kinda short, but I'm starving and I need to go out and get some damn food. See ya when I get back.

  2. I like the demo/10 " record better, think I might need to let Time to Repent sink in a little more.
