Behind this inconspicuous cover, beloved reader, hides one of the best metallic hardcore releases of 2012. Burning Love have really hit it out of the park with Rotten Thing to Say, which is 14 tracks of blistering hardcore riffs infused with Southern rock licks and topped off with Chris Colohan's pissed off vocals. It's raw, it's gritty, it's greasy, it's heart-pumping and yet, it's melodic and really easy to become obsessed with. It's one of those albums that just demands repeated listens.
And if you need one more argument that you should go and listen to this RIGHT NOW, Burning Love are from Canada. Cheers to Volo for recommending this to me and cheers to Canadian parents! I don't know what the hell you're doing, but whatever it is, it's making your sons become terrific musicians. Keep at it!
