Here's a quick dose of angry, politically-charged punk/thrash violence to get you through your bullshit day: Iron Reagan is a side-project of Municipal Waste and Darkest Hour members, featuring Land Phil and Tony Foresta from the Waste on guitars and vocals, respectively. Their sound is pretty straightforward and easy to describe: basically, it's just as fast and wild as Municipal Waste, except there's more hardcore punk in the mix and the lyrics are about corporate greed, lousy paychecks and being fed up with the government, man. Pretty meat-and-potatoes, but honestly you don't need anything more than fast riffs and pissed off vocals. Iron Reagan does just what it says on the can.

Municipal Waste - The Fatal Feast (video)

US crossover/thrash outlaws Municipal Waste have premiered the official video for the title track of their upcoming album, The Fatal Feast. The video was shot on the set of the space western television show Firefly, so I guess that's pretty cool. The song is about how The Waste are stranded on a spaceship and they turn into cannibalistic freaks then proceed to devour the ship's captain and the rest of the crew. The video is pretty much just that - watch out for the colon spinning/moshing bit, it's pretty rad.

The Fatal Feast is Municipal Waste's fifth studio album and is due for release on April 10th in North America and April 13th in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records. Should be good.

Municipal Waste - Hazardous Mutation (2005)

Amân de multă vreme să zic ceva despre albumul meu preferat Municipal Waste şi nu ştiu de ce. Dar, acum că sunt iarăşi făcut rangă şi că Deşeul urmează să lanseze un nou album în aprilie, ăsta pare momentul potrivit. Nu ştiu dacă Hazardous Mutation este cel mai bun album Municipal Waste, dar ştiu că este albumul cu cele mai multe şlagăre pe care le ştiu pe dinafară. Şi nu ştiu dacă Municipal Waste sunt trve as fvck sau astea, dar ştiu că Municipal Waste sunt în stare să mă facă întotdeauna să mă simt bine, graţie riff-urilor lor extrem de rapide şi catchy livrate cu intensitate maximă de Ryan Waste şi vocalizelor energice şi pissed off ale vocalistului Tony Foresta (ce nume rustic!). Cred că oricărui rocăr îi este relativ imposibil să se abţină să thraşuiască sălbatic pe ritmurile demente ce explodează din instrumentele acestor golani inegalabili, iar dacă negaţi acest fapt, voi presupune din oficiu că minţiţi şi că vă este ruşine să beţi o tonă de bere şi să daţi cu pumnu-n perete. Serios, chiar aveţi de gând să ziceţi chestii naşpa despre o trupă care cântă thrash superb despre zombies, The Thing, bere şi petreceri la care te îmbeţi aşa tare că începi să arunci mobila pe geam? Tot ce am de zis e BEER PRESSURE'S TAKING OVER, DEATH TO BEING SOBER RARARARARARARARARAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

Fie că vorbim despre Intro/Deathripper, magnifica Mind Eraser, distractiva Terror Shark, atotpizdificatoarea Blood Drive sau piese devenite living classics precum Unleash the Bastards, sunt întotdeauna sigur că Municipal Waste îmi vor satisface toate nevoile de crossover thrash beţivănesc, motiv pentru care nu prea lipsesc niciodată din playlist-ul meu de zi cu zi. Ba chiar mă cam gândesc să-mi iau şi un tricoi cu ei, să fiu supermegagigaultrafan adevărat. În plus, şi am mai zis asta de nu ştiu câte ori, aş îndura bucuros spitalizarea obligatorie ce ar urma unui concert Municipal Waste, dacă asta ar însemna că mi-aş putea rupe gâtul într-un mosh pit sălbatic alături de Tony Foresta, Ryan Waste & co. Besides, asta ar însemna că aş putea petrece mai mult timp alături de Nushulescu, căci n-ar mai trebui să vin cu 304 la spital din Inel 2. Aş fi acolo tot timpul! WOWOWOWO!!!

Şi da, the fuckin' Waste urmează să lanseze un album nou foarte curând, The Fatal Feast pre numele său. Parcă puseseră şi o piesă la streaming pe undeva, dar nu mai găsesc unde, aşa că o să postez doar coperta, că-i minunată.

Bine, am croncănit destul, iar eu şi Marco vrem să ne culcăm. Înţelegeţi ce vreţi din asta. Deci mai pun un super videoclip care demonstrează cât de mişto e la concert cu Municipal Waste şi o să sper că îşi vor face apariţia şi în România, imediat ce termină turneul alături de GWAR şi Ghoul. Fuck it, am devenit o destinaţie exotică pentru trupe. LET'S GET IN THE BATH TUB AND MOSH!!
